Portrait Drawing Workshop with Rosalie McCarthy

Tuesday, May 16       ADULTS
One day only!

This fun and non-intimidating workshop will demystify the challenges and misconceptions of drawing portraits. You'll learn simple, uncomplicated steps in completing an effective portrait. Rosalie uses a before and after approach -- you will be amazed at what you can accomplish in just the first two hours! The third hour will be devoted to refining and making any adjustment or alterations you wish to make to your portrait. After lunch, the afternoon will be devoted to leaning shading techniques to add tonal dimension and depth to your portrait.

Rosalie will demonstrate each step along the way, together with ongoing guidance and individual attention to each student. Also, a short demonstration on proper pencil sketching, position of paper, and other effective tips will be presented to guide you on your drawing journey. As one Cotuit student expressed in a prior class, "It's like magic!"
