Each year there are several signature special events including the annual Poetry and Chili Festival, Entertainment Tonight!, our monthly Wine and Music Wednesday gatherings, the monthly Salon of Shorts, 2nd Wednesday Theater and the annual Art and Souls Masquerade Ball.  

 

Salon of Shorts

Ongoing: 3rd Wednesday of every month, 7:30pm

Cotuit Center for the Arts offers an open mic series called Salon of Shorts on the third Wednesday of each month in the Art Studio. Award-winning poets, playwrights, and spoken word performers Christine Rathbun Ernst and Gregory Hischak host the series, which encompasses all types of performances: poetry, storytelling, essay reading, music, performance art, improv, and stand-up.

Spectacle of Trees Fundraiser

Support Cotuit Center for the Arts by participating in the Spectacle of Trees! This wonderful holiday event features a beautiful tree complete with the trimmings AND all of the gifts which can all be yours if you are the lucky ticket holder! One lucky winner whose ticket will be drawn on December 9 will take home everything below, plus the tree and the trimmings. Our tree will be on display in the gallery from November 17-December 9, and a replica will be in the Cape Cod Mall from November 26-December 9 as part of the Spectacle of Trees fundraiser. On December 9th, one lucky winner will be chosen to go home with our tree and all of its gifts! Each ticket purchased is a donation directly back to Cotuit Center for Arts when you enter to win.

Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair

Want to find unique and beautiful gifts for the Holidays?  Want to avoid the mall?  Want to support local artists? Plan to come to Cotuit Center for the Arts and do your holiday shopping at our Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair!

We will be featuring local artisans who produce fine arts, photography, jewelry, clothing, hand woven items, greeting cards, and home furnishings. There will be door prizes!

A Charlie Brown Christmas Album - Live at CCftA!

Nothing takes the edge off the holidays quite like the beloved soundtrack to “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by Vince Guaraldi. Since the “Peanuts” holiday special first aired in 1965, its score has become one of the most recognizable jazz recordings of all time. Revel in the pure, unadulterated meaning of Christmas with a live performance of this beloved classic holiday album, performed by a trio featuring three of the Cape's finest musicians; Malcolm Granger, piano; Rich Hill, bass; and Michael Dunford, percussion.

Cape Cod CAN: Celebrating Ourselves Talent Show

CELEBRATING OURSELVES!, a variety show celebrating unique talents of people of all abilities on Cape Cod. The recent talent show at Thirwood Place was standing room only!  Celebrate the Holidays with us... SAVE THE DATE!

Admission is free, we just ask that you bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank. Come early, and be sure to get your seat!

Wine & Music Wednesday Holiday Singalong!

Wine and Music Wednesday is an open house held in our Gallery on the third Wednesday of every month from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, with wine tasting and live music.

December's Wine & Music features a Holiday singalong featuring our own David Kuehn on piano!  Please join us for what has become a lovely annual tradition.
