Auditions for We Are The Champions, an original musical tribute to Queen, will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 and Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Cotuit Center for the Arts. The production opens Thursday, August 8, 2019 and runs for two weeks through August 18, 2019; Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 4:00pm.

All who audition will be asked to prepare an excerpt from Bohemian Rhapsody (provided at the Audition Details link below) and to sing one of three Queen songs (with provided piano accompaniment);

There are three simple steps to Sign Up For Your Audition for We Are The Champions;

- Download and print the following excerpt from Bohemian Rhapsody (pdf). You will prepare your part, choosing Vocal 1, Vocal 2, Vocal 3 or Vocal 4 from measure 1 through measure 15, then measure 55 through measure 76 (the “Scaramouche” section).
- Choose one of the following Queen songs to prepare and sing as part of your audition (to be sung with piano accompaniment);
When completing the online sign-up, don’t forget to tell us what key you’ll be singing your song in!
Q. Where are the auditions held?
A. Auditions are held at Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Cotuit. They will take place in the Art Barn, which is located between the Black Box and the Main Theater/Gallery. Look for signs directing you to the building. When you arrive, please “check-in” with Ashley LaCroix. Please note that we will be videotaping each audition.
Q. How long will my audition take?
A. It’s expected that your audition will take approximately 10 – 15 minutes. You will be asked to sing your prepared part from Bohemian Rhapsody, and then sing your chosen song, with piano accompaniment.
Q. Who will be present for my audition?
A. The Director/Producer, Michael Dunford, the Music Director, Malcolm Granger, the Chorus Director, Marcia Wytrwal and an accompanist.
Q. How should I choose which vocal part to prepare from the Bohemian Rhapsody excerpt?
A. Choose your part from the Bohemian Rhapsody excerpt based on your vocal range and comfort level.

A. We expect to make a final cast announcement March 1.
Q. What if I’m not chosen as a Freddie lead?
A. We are auditioning for three lead singers and a chorus of 10 – 12 voices. If you are not chosen as a lead, you may be asked to join the Queen’s Chorus!
