Everyone is musical. Explore the music in you with the Ukulele! The Ukulele has enjoyed a comeback in recent years with popular artists, such as Train, IZ, and Jake Shimabukuro leading the charge. Students will learn basic chords and strumming patterns to classic holiday songs that everyone knows. Singing along is encouraged but not required. Once you’ve learned a few basic techniques, you’ll be on your way to playing pretty much any song you’d like to!
This class culminates in the popular annual Ukefest Holiday Concert on the Center's Mainstage on December 1st at 7:00pm — participation not required, but definitely encouraged! This class is for adults and kids aged 12 and older. Younger kids may participate if taking the class with a parent.
Please bring your own ukulele. This class is not suitable for baritone ukuleles.

Our classes and workshops are open to students of all abilities and needs. We are currently unable to provide one-on-one instruction, though we will make every attempt to address accommodations for full and successful engagement whenever possible.
If a student requires individual supports, parent/guardian/PCA/teacher/ABA Therapists/etc are welcome to attend.
