Drawing People: Parts to Whole with Jackie Reeves

Learn to draw the human figure every Thursday morning with artist and Chalkboard Studio co-founder, Jackie Reeves. Each week, we will focus on different parts of the human form: hands, feet, and portrait. Beginning with drawing from handouts and plaster casts, we will develop skills in seeing shapes, perspective, line, and form in a relaxed and fun 3-hour class. Gradually we'll assemble the shapes and parts and consider the figure as a whole, finishing the class sessions with a live model.
Students are open to draw in any medium and are welcome to experiment with different approaches to drawing (demonstrations provided). Draw formally or keep it loose, it’s up to you. Jackie will help you reach your individual drawing goals.

Artists of all skills welcome. Bring your own materials. Easels, masonite boards with clips and newsprint are provided.
