This regular monthly workshop is designed for artists who want to work with a long pose. Aimed at those with art experience, you’ll be able to work with a live model for a whole weekend. Sculptor instructor Neil Grant will be available to provide guidance and critique on figure sculpting, general anatomy and proportions, but you’ll be able to work at your own pace with the pose.
For sculptors, stands and tools will be provided, and clay can be purchased during the class at $30 per bag including firing.
For painters and sketch artists, easels and newsprint are provided.
Recurs roughly every two months at an affordable price! Limit 10 artists per workshop.
‘This is a great opportunity to create with a model over a multi-day pose, allowing the artist to focus but work at their own pace. You can draw, paint, sculpt or all three! You don’t see many of these long form poses on the Cape, so take advantage of it while it’s available,’ says Neil.
Our classes and workshops are open to students of all abilities and needs. We are currently unable to provide one-on-one instruction, though we will make every attempt to address accommodations for full and successful engagement whenever possible.
If a student requires individual supports, parent/guardian/PCA/teacher/ABA Therapists/etc are welcome to attend.
