Scamps Comedy with Jim Ruberti & Friends: Carolyn Plummer & Dave Lamb

  • Nov 4, 2023 @ 8:00pm

Carolyn Plummer headlines with feature Dave Lamb and host Jim Ruberti as hysterically funny stand-up comedy returns to Cotuit Center for the Arts on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m.

“Jim Ruberti & Friends: Carolyn Plummer and Dave Lamb” will be presented in the intimate setting of the gallery, by the Cotuit Center for the Arts and Scamps Comedy.

Carolyn Plummer performed at the Boston Garden in Denis Leary’s prestigious Comics Come Home stand-up fundraiser for the Cam Neely Foundation for 2022. She’s been a Boston comedy mainstay for several years and has traveled extensively and to many parts of this country few have dared to venture. She has worked at clubs, colleges, dead animal lodges, theaters and corporations, appearing with many of the top headliners in the business. She has also participated in numerous festivals including the Hampton Beach Comedy Festival, Nantucket Comedy Festival, Burbank Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival and The Women in Comedy Festival. “I also won the Woody Herman Jazz Award for my trumpet playing abilities but I'm not one to brag,” she says.

Dave Lamb has been performing stand-up comedy in and around Boston for years, with some of the area's best and up-and-coming acts. During his time in comedy Dave has performed in clubs, bars, casinos, restaurants, and rec centers, but can most often be seen headlining a classroom every weekday at an area public school, where he learned how to deal with hecklers. Dave's full-time career as a teacher provides him with an excellent source of material, as if his wife, family, and friends aren't enough already.

Cape Cod’s favorite fishing comedian, Jim Ruberti is a Boston comedian and Barnstable resident who has hosted comedy at the Center since 2019. He’s the regular host for most Scamps Comedy shows at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. He has been a comic fundraising auctioneer and event host for more than 16 years, and a stand-up comedian working stages around New England. As a stand-up, he’s shared the stage with Boston headliners such as Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, Paul Nardizzi, Christine Hurley, and Jimmy Dunn.
