Summer Theater Lab is back this August! Join this wacky, fun-packed two-week kids' theater intensive for a high-energy riff on children's classic literature! Students will have a blast exploring acting, costume-making, karaoke, stage make-up, dance, improv, scriptwriting, stage combat, prop-making, and more! Led by the crack team of theater educator Ed O'Toole (BHS and the Center's Camp Shakespeare) and dance teacher Susan Friedman (founder of Dancing for a Cure and the Center's popular tap program), student players will dive in and create a ridiculously entertaining seaside spoof of a beloved kids' story. Tale as old as time? Song as old as rhyme? Beauty and the Beach!
Pack a brown-bag lunch and a water bottle and come prepared to move, play, create, invent, learn, and laugh in the Center's Schoolhouse and its outdoor classroom. Summer Theater Lab will culminate in a 1-hour presentation on August 14 at 1:30pm on the Schoolhouse Stage for friends and family.
Limit 24 participants -- reserve your spot now!
