Become a better singer in this 90-minute weekly class that focuses on BREATHING, DICTION, and TONAL CONSISTENCY. Vocal Lab with singer, educator, and noted local musician Ron Williams is a fun group experience that is part lecture, part performance and critique, and part listening lab. Learn the mechanics of vocal production, how to improve performance skills, and how to listen and sing alone or within a group.
Ron's curriculum is based on classical and contemporary resources and classwork includes solo and small ensemble work.

Ron Williams was born in Augusta, Georgia and graduated from Duke University where he studied voice with John Hanks and with Wayne Lail. Ron was a member of the Duke Chorale, the Chapel Choir, The Black Mass Gospel Choir, and the Opera Workshop. He also studied voice at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, as part of a Graduate Program in Music Performance. Other teachers and mentors include Bernard Barbeau, of the New England Conservatory in Boston, MA. and Nancy Cosgrove of Orleans, MA. Ron is a past soloist for the Middletown Chorale of Middletown, CT, and recent performances include playing for the V.I.P. reception of Pops by the Sea in Hyannis, MA. Ron currently lives in Chatham, MA, where he teaches private lessons in voice and guitar.
Our classes and workshops are open to students of all abilities and needs. We are currently unable to provide one-on-one instruction, though we will make every attempt to address accommodations for full and successful engagement whenever possible.
If a student requires individual supports, parent/guardian/PCA/teacher/ABA Therapists/etc are welcome to attend.
