Students will draw and sketch what they observe, as well as create mixed-media pieces in 2D and 3D, and will keep a nature journal where they write or respond to nature creatively on their own. For ages 11-16.
Students will learn basic chords and strumming patterns to classic songs that everyone knows. Once you’ve learned a few basic techniques, you’ll be on your way to playing pretty much any song you’d like to.
Intermediate Ukulele covers finger picking, single note melody playing, advanced and novelty strumming patterns, tablature, jazz chords and other fun approaches to the instrument. Arrangements are new and fresh for each new session.
Exciting studio-based program and will introduce students to a wide range of art materials and ways of making art. Students will create daily art projects while sharing creative studio experiences with a class of their peers.
Use the power of storytelling to create art with accomplished illustrator Maddie Edgar! Together with Maddie, students will read old folk tales, fairy tales, storybooks, and songs and create their own illustrations in response.
