Cotuit Center for the Arts presents “An Elegant Evening of Music with Centertonix” on Monday, August 6, at 7:30 PM in the Gallery.

A diverse ensemble of talented singers, Centertonix presents a wide array of a cappella music, including madrigal, jazz, show tunes, pop, spirituals, and doo-wop numbers. The group has sung at the Center’s Derby Day, the Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich, the Mashpee Senior Center, Mashpee Commons, and at private facilities. They presented two Cape Cod Sings! A Cappella Festivals, and a Holiday program at various locations, including the Hyannis Village Christmas Stroll.

“Our mission is to educate as well as entertain,” said Steve Stein, music director of Centertonix. “A cappella music has a very long history, and we are presenting pieces that represent different genres of that history.”

Centertonix is leaving CCftA’s Main Stage where they have performed in the past and “thrilled to be making our gallery debut in the acoustically rich art gallery at the Center,” said Stein. “Please join us for this very harmonious musical experience.”

Centertonix’s hour of song will be followed by a champagne reception.

Tickets are $30, $25 for members. Seating is limited. For tickets, and more information, visit www.artsonthecape.org, or call 508-428-0669. Cotuit Center for the Arts is at 4404 Route 28 in Cotuit.
