This fall, Cotuit Center for the Art is proud to present an original musical production produced by Ruth Condon, celebrating one of the most beloved & best-selling American singer-songwriters of all time. September Morn: A Musical Tribute to Neil Diamond will open on the Main Stage September 28 and run through October 15, with performances taking place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and 2:00pm on Sundays.

From his humble beginnings in Brooklyn, NY, Neil Diamond was a solitary man at heart who suffered bouts of depression. He toured worldwide for decades trying to escape the insecure loneliness he embodied. His career has spanned sixty plus years with a Grammy, seven nominations and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, a Golden Globe winner, a Billboard Music Award recipient & was nominated two times for an Emmy. Neil Diamond’s music weaves a colorful tapestry of his life. His song “Brooklyn Roads” paints a picture of a young child bounding up two flights of stairs gazing out of his brownstone apartment window with dreams of dragons & kings. "His music is simple and complicated at the same time and although I have included his hits, I have added a few obscure challenging pieces that I believe will not disappoint our audience," says producer Ruth Condon.

Malcolm Granger will direct the 8-piece band which includes himself & Misao Koyama on piano, Susan Goldberg on bass, Michael Dunford on percussion, Gregg Sullivan & Tad Price on guitars, Steven Ahearn on Trumpet/Flute & Kenny Rogers on Trombone. The diversified cast includes Cotuit favorite Anthony Teixeira, singer-songwriter Tom Tracy, newcomers Nick Anastasia, Steve Putnam, & DJ Kostka, Ruth Condon & Kate Pazakis, the current Producing Artistic Director at Cape Cod Theater Company/HJT to complete a great cast!

Tickets are $40, $30 for members and $38 for seniors/veterans. For more information, and to purchase tickets, visit artsonthecape.org or call the Box Office at 508-428-0669 x0. Cotuit Center for the Arts is located at 4404 Falmouth Road/Route 28 in Cotuit.
