6pm in the Black Box Theater


We're seeking actors of all abilities, including children and teens, to join us in bringing this fun-filled show to life at the John Weltman Outdoor Performance Pavilion. Whether you're an experienced performer or new to the stage, we encourage you to audition and become part of this magical production. We can't wait to see you bring these delightful characters to life!

Cotuit Center for the Arts is a welcoming home and committed to diverse casting. We aim to provide onstage opportunities to actors who are typically underrepresented due to age, race, ethnicity, disability, neurodiversity, gender identity and sexual orientation.
Dragons Love Tacos, based on the popular children's book by Adam Rubin is an inclusive production.

Please note that access to the outdoor stage is via 6 steps.


About the Show:

You know what Dragons really love? Tacos of course! A boy and his dog are watching a TV show about dragons when they unexpectedly get caught up in the ‘Dos and Don’ts’ of what to serve to dragons to eat. Dragons love tacos, but if they accidentally eat spicy salsa…watch out!

Performances at the John Weltman Outdoor Performance Pavilion Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10:30am from July 24 thought August 9

Audition Prep:

Actors may be asked to pantomime certain reactions to show their acting ability through movement.

Actors may be asked to react clearly to various kinds of emotions both on their faces and physically through movement.

Actors must be able to take direction.

Actors must be able to project their voices on stage.

Actors must be able to work collaboratively with their fellow actors.
