September Morn: Dinner Theater at Daniel Webster Inn

  • May 30 — May 31, 2024

Kick off the summer season with dinner and a show at the iconic Dan'l Webster Inn.

Brave Horse Music, Cotuit Center for the Arts, and the Dan'l Webster Inn and Spa are thrilled to present "September Morn", a musical tribute to Neil Diamond featuring the original cast from the 2023 sold out production at Cotuit Center for the Arts.

From his humble beginnings in Brooklyn, N.Y. he was a solitary man at heart who suffered bouts of depression. He toured worldwide for decades trying to escape the insecure loneliness he embodied. His career has spanned sixty plus years with a grammy, seven nominations and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, a Golden Globe winner, a Billboard Music Award recipient & was nominated two times for an Emmy. Neil Diamond’s music weaves a colorful tapestry of his life. His song “Brooklyn Roads” paints a picture of a young child bounding up two flights of stairs gazing out of his brownstone apartment window with dreams of dragons & kings. His music is simple and complicated at the same time and although I have included his hits, I have added a few obscure challenging pieces that I believe will not disappoint our audience.

Malcolm Granger will direct the 6-piece band which includes Rich Hill on bass, Michael Dunford on percussion, Steve Ahern on Trumpet/Flute, Andy Troyanos & Tad Price on guitars. The diversified cast includes Cape Cod’s Theater Professionals, Anthony Teixeira & DJ Kostas, writer/producer/creator, Kate Pazakis along with singer songwriter Tom Tracy, N.Y. Broadway touring artist, Nick Anastasia & Sandwich natives Steve Putnam, along with producer/creator, Ruth Condon to complete a great cast!
