Cape Cod Collaborative Arts Network (CapeCodCAN!) presents “A Seaside Summit at the Grand Escape Hotel” on Friday and Saturday, May 17 and 18, at 6 PM and Sunday, May 19, at 2 PM.

“CapeCodCAN! is proud to present its seventh annual musical revue,” said Malissa Kenney, director of operations at CapeCodCAN! an organization which provides inclusive programs in the performing and visual arts for teens and adults of all abilities. The cast includes over 80 performers of all abilities, including 18 performers with speaking roles who auditioned for their parts.

“Theater is more than just fun,” said Kenney. “It enhances self-confidence, imagination, empathy, tolerance, cooperation, collaboration, concentration, communication, and problem solving. Involvement builds trust, memory, social awareness, and aesthetic appreciation of the arts in our community.”

In “A Seaside Summit at the Grand Escape Hotel,” an original production written by CapeCodCAN! program director Katy Paul in collaboration with the performers, the nervous general manager of a Cape Cod hotel anticipates the arrival of very important dignitaries and international guests. The activities director has everything under control with sightseeing and music, as the CapeCodCAN performers entertain all with their singing, dancing, and acting.

The show is presented in partnership with Cape Cod agencies and organizations, including LIFE (Living Independently Forever), Halyard, Community Connections, Habilitation Assistance Corporation, Latham Centers, Esprit, and Palaemon.

The show is sponsored in part by grants from the Mass Cultural Council, Sandwich and Mid Cape Cultural Councils.

Tickets for “A Seaside Summit at the Grand Escape Hotel” are $25. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit artsonthecape.org or call 508-428-0669.
