A new improv troupe, “The Cotuit Centerlings,” will make its debut on Friday, February 25 at 7pm in the Art Studio at Cotuit Center for the Arts. This workshop performance of this new troupe will have all the fun of improv performances and lots of audience participation. In the style of the popular “Whose Line Is It Anyway” the group will perform original sketches, monologues, and scenes from audience suggestions. The members of the Cotuit Centerlings are Nancy Bober, Jane Cyr, Sue Lindholm, Gillian Norton, Mary Cris Kenney, Kristin Fenn, Jenn Henry, and John Richmond, hosted by Melinda Gallant. These improv-ers began their journey into the realm of silliness and off-the-cuff comedy while taking a class at Cotuit Center called “Improv YOUR Life.” A suggested donation of $5.00 will be requested at the door. As per Cotuit policy, masks will be required along with proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test.

Improv by definition is the performance of art without special preparation. These performers, by using certain improv techniques, will perform audience suggested skits or sketches using only place, occupation and characters. This troupe will be performing on the last Friday of the month throughout the spring in the Cotuit Art Studio.
