Jul. 2, 2019 / Press Release
Sarah Swain

Cotuit Center for the Arts presents Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys on Friday, August 2, at 7:30 PM.

Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys have been playing to packed houses across the Cape since 2008, offering Swain’s well-crafted originals and rocking rockabilly classics with a splash of soul. Swain, on vocals and guitar, exudes an effervescent, infectious energy that will get everyone on their feet. Joining her are slide guitar virtuoso Jerry Smith, “Rocket” Ron Siegel on upright bass, and Liam Hogg on drums.

Swain has been writing and playing since she was 15. She has toured on her own and as a supporting musician in various indie bands since 1995, and put out her first solo record, “One Girl Town,” in 2006. Swain also plays bass in the Greenheads, who open the Beachcomber in Wellfleet every year. In 2012, she released “Every Little Bird,” which won Album of the Year at the Limelight Magazine Music Awards.

Tickets are $30, $25 for balcony seating. There is a $5 discount for members and a $2 discount for seniors and veterans. For tickets and more information, visit artsonthecape.org or call 508-428-0669. Cotuit Center for the Arts is at 4404 Route 28 in Cotuit.
